This gravy/sauce jug is wheel thrown and trimmed in a stoneware iron rich clay. Glazed in a white satin and painted with details in an iron oxide wash. This jug was designed to have a rustic, old feel about it, the pattern on the front of the jug are the claws of griffin feet, invoking the mighty griffins for protect your table.
These pots are dishwasher safe and food safe, although washing by hand is the preferred. This cup is made with high iron content clay body that is reduction fired. This kind of firing can make angled edges susceptible to chipping if they’re bumped heavily so handle pots with care.
